50 THINGS TO DO ON YOUR BUCKETLIST AFTER LOCKDOWN | 2020

This pandemic has kept us all on our toes, hasn’t it? It stripped us all of our happiness because we aren’t able to explore the places we thought we would this year, we aren’t able to meet our friends and check-off all those amazing restaurants and cuisines we thought we would try, and we surely can’t even meet our family because apparently, we can’t risk them getting sick just because we’re in need of some picnic or adventure.

However, things are slowly beginning to settle in and I think slowly, the flights and other means of transportations will open soon too. Meaning, there’s still hope for us to complete our bucket list but of course, it wouldn’t be the same. There will always be the masks, the gloves, the sanitization, and the six or twelve feet distance.

But that’s okay. At least you will be able to relax your nerves and give some beauty to your eyes, right? It’s really been so long so here I am today with a bucket list for everyone to use or to give you all an idea if you’re thinking what to do after the lockdown is over. (hopefully)

10 Quotes that will raise your Confidence

Do you ever just feel as if you’re no good? As if the world doesn’t understand you? Well, you’re not alone.

We all feel that way sometimes. Some more often than others. But we can’t let that stop us, can we? We can’t let our lack of confidence stop us from achieving our dreams. We must fight the fear in us, raise our head and walk tall on this earth. Not proudly but confidently. It’s what matters the most. What doesn’t matter and what you shouldn’t care about is other people’s thoughts. Their thoughts will only bring you down and you don’t want that. You want to win so you better read these quotes which helped me become confident or at least gave me an insight and a head start.

Quote 1: People will judge you no matter what you do. Might as well do what your heart is telling you to.

Quote 2: Self-Confidence is the best outfit. Rock it and own it.

Quote 3: Confidence is the ability to feel beautiful without needing someone to tell you.

Quote 4: Own who you are.

Quote 5: Confidence has no competition.

Quote 6: Don’t regret the past. Just learn from it.

Quote 7: It’s okay not to have everything figured out.

Quote 8: Don’t ignore your own potential.

Quote 9: The sooner you start believing in yourself, the sooner you’ll start seeing the results.

Quote 10: Inhale confidence, exhale doubt.

Do not let anyone crush you or break you. You’re on your own and remember, you don’t need anyone else but you. So you must be strong, you must keep on fighting and getting up no matter how many times you fail or fall.

You must be like an Avenger!

Journal Entry

*So for some reason I couldn’t publish this article yesterday. Anyway, it has become a #belatedmondaypost~

—————————————————————————————

I thought of not making anything, but I had the urge to cook and because I was disappointed yesterday at myself, I wanted to prove my family that I am a good cook. So, I decided to make Hara Bhara Kebab and the result was…

It became a little too salty…

Okay, yesterday it was sweet, today it was salty so maybe tomorrow, it will be perfect?

I mean, come on! What’s happening to me?! Why can’t I get the proportions right! I know I’m still learning but gosh, it’s so annoying when the dish you’re preparing with so much thought and care, ends up with criticism or in the dust bin. But, like it wasn’t so bad either. If you just ate it with tomato ketchup, it was pretty good.

Well, I’m trying to console myself by saying that “We learn by our mistakes.” And we really do. Now I know that salt and sugar are pretty tricky things that can either ruin your dish or make them Gordon Ramsay’s dish.

But, let me be clear here…I won’t give up! Not yet, not ever. I don’t want to lose this passion of cooking just because a couple of my dishes turned out bad. I’m trying and I’m confident that someday, I will open my own restaurant and you all will be there to taste my cuisines! YES! AMEN!

Sorry, I know I’m a bit hyped but I don’t know why, all of a sudden, I got possessed with cooking and I’m enjoying every single minute I spend in the kitchen; except washing the dishes…It makes me tired.
But, I’m also glad to say that my family is proud of me for trying. I’m running with the mindset of cooking delicious foods for my future family and husband (which I hope you guys know who I want my husband to be by now…It’s Kim Jongin…No joke…) And I’m already 20 so I at-least got to do this much, right?

Nowadays, outside food is just not tasty anymore. Forget healthy, it just lacks the crave and the umph of it all. I don’t know about you, but I’m done with fast foods and restaurants.

Sister: Hey, do you want to eat wings from KFC?

Me: Heck yeah!

So, where was I? Yeah, no more fast foods and restaurants.

One Way (A Poem)

There’s only one way.
It would be hard, I know, but I also that I’ll survive.

Road to success doesn’t come easy,
There will be thorns, fire, hail storms and wars,
But deep inside, I know I was born to walk this path,
This dangerous road that leads to satisfaction.

One way,
No left, no right,
Just straight ahead I walk.
Killing the regret, the sorrow, and the pain,
Holding hope, faith and trust’s hand.

I cry, I scream, I lose self-control and patience,
But now, here I am, standing with the crown.

It was my belief that brought me here,
Just like an exodus, a path without fear.

I am now at the top,
Filled with joy and pride,
I never thought In my dreams that I would come this far,
With only a single path.

-To those who are on that ‘one way’, You can do it. I know you can.

10 Things I learned in the past year

  • Always be grateful in what you have and in what you get.
  • Forget the past because what has happened has happened and you can’t change that even if you had all the power in the world.
  • Forgive because you never know when you might lose the chance to do so.
  • Life isn’t always fair, but everything happens for a reason.
  • When you fall, you must get back up because you can’t just lay there wasting on your bed crying while you can use that time to think how you can climb that freaking long ladder that leads to your success.
  • Taking advice from family really helps, trust me.
  • When you’re struggling or are stressed about it something, don’t just lock it in your heart. Let your thoughts and feelings out to someone because keeping all those bad stuff inside will only slowly kill you. I’m sure there will always be someone around to listen to you. If not, then just go live on Instagram or Facebook or any Social media account and you know, set yourself free because sometimes that works too if you’re alone in the house and you feel as if the poison is getting to you quicker than you had imagined.
  • I know I said not to cry but in fact, crying helps.
  • You won’t and can’t get everything you want even if you point your finger and ask for it.
  • Don’t stop. No matter what, DON’T STOP! Because if you do, you’re only going to distance yourself from your goals in life. Strive hard and make it happen and then at the end of the day, give yourself a treat because you of all people deserve it.

My Goal

I have a simple goal and that is to become a successful blogger and writer.

Its not much to ask but I’m giving it my all to accomplish this and I’m fortunate to have my family’s support as well.

Reaching a goal isn’t easy as many people think. You need dedication, will power and most of all, patience.

Yes, it also needs money but like its said, to gain you must sacrifice.

But money isn’t the problem, of course. Its our mind set and stubbornness that will take us to our ultimate goal.

Months may pass; heck, maybe years too but trust me, your hard work will pay off. The time you lost will be like ashes and nothing more. Just don’t give up because if you do, you won’t be able to say goodbye to those ashes. You will feel empty and regret and stuck and it’s better to lose some sleep than to lose your happiness, right?

I myself have very little patience but because I know that the place I must reach is a long and tiring journey, I’m all up and ready to take on whatever comes my way! Be it sleepless nights, no friends and family time, no movie nights and no vacation.

Just. Don’t. Give. Up.

I know you can do it because I’m doing it too. Its a simple goal yet we have to struggle because what is life if you easily get everything? There’s no fun in that. The real fun lies in the wait and the effort you‘ve put in. The real fun lies in the treat you treat yourself after your eventual success.

So, what’s your goal and are you ready to walk the uneven paths?

Random blabber.

So I went out today with my mom and the weather really annoyed me. I mean my clothes were sticking to my back and I was sweating and I was thirsty and I really wanted to pee but there was no washroom so I had to hold it and yeah…I didn’t like it.

I crave Ghiradelli’s ice cream now.

And I wanna go someplace where there is snow so that I can roll and make snow angels.

I started reading Book Thief by Markus Zusak and because there are a few german sentences in there, I began talking to German people on Hello Talk. I don’t even know why I’m reading that book but since I started it, I gotta end it, right?

I haven’t met my school friends in like seven years so I’m really planning on having a reunion sometime this December but I’m also very nervous because I’m afraid they won’t remember me If I try and call them 😛 They would be like, “Who the hell is this?”

Though, I’m 94% sure that won’t happen.

There are times when I’m too desperate and impatient for people to buy my book but then after all the throwing of the pillows on the ground and stuffing a handful of Oreos in my mouth, I say to myself, “You didn’t write to become famous. You wrote because it’s your passion.” And that’s actually true because I didn’t publish my book so that I could get money. I published it because I wanted to see my own story and words in a hardcover and paperback and my dad fulfilled that wish for me.

I love you, dad. He has supported me all the way and I am utterly grateful to him. My debut novel is, in fact, dedicated to him only.

Anyway, thank you for reading this short blabbering part of mine and have a great day everyone.

Don’t give up on things because your time will eventually come when you’re going to rise and rise and never look down again.

So long~

I’m your writer next door.
