5 Tips On How You Can Change Your Life!

1. Wake up early:

Waking up early gives you a chance to be productive while everyone else is asleep. It gives your mind the boost of creativity it needs, it gives you more time to plan out things and waking up early means that you’re serious about your work/business/job/career. It’s not an easy task to wake up early but those who do, they always climb the ladder of success.

2. Look Good:

Yes, this may sound strange but taking your time to look good will help raise your self-confidence, motivate you, and will trigger your mind into thinking that today is an important day; a day you shouldn’t miss out on.

3. Make time for yourself:

I believe this is the most important aspect of our lives as we get so busy with our daily life/work that we forget to make time for ourselves. Selfcare is truly important if we want to reach our goals and fulfill our dreams. We must take at least 10 minutes every day to journal, to smile, to do something that makes us happy and you will soon see a change in your life because you’re not just working your butt off but you’re rewarding yourself for it as well.

4. Make time for workouts:

I am a fitness freak and if I don’t work out even for a day, my body literally breaks down and I feel stressed, bloated, and unhealthy. As a result, I am unable to work properly and I tend to get a lot of writer’s block (apparently, I always have to resort to caffeine for that which is very unhealthy) So, get your body moving; be it for a walk, jog, or just going for grocery shopping. Do not be lazy because a moving body gives you a productive mind. Working out is beneficial for your body and not only will it make you look better but feel better too.

5. Identify Your Goals:

This is another crucial step you must take every single day. Knowing your goals and dreams is significant if you want to see successful results. You need to plan your day, week, month, and year accordingly, you need to adjust your lives and you also need to tend to your daily needs without making others frown. How are you going to do that? by planning and by having a strong and positive mindset. You can’t just break down because you chose this path and you must reach your destination. How long will you stay in a hotel or Airbnb? Not long right? Think of your life that way and pursue your goals. Recall why you’re doing what you’re doing and trust me, you will be in charge of your mind, not the opposite.

I hope you will use these 5 tips daily in your life and won’t give up because giving up means you’re losing the opportunity to make a name for yourself, to stand out from the crowd, and to make people realize that they can’t just look down upon you. So what’s it gonna be? wake up early and work? or sleep and watch your dreams fade away?

It’s your choice.

7 Activities To Do With Kids Amidst Lockdown

If you’re a parent and you’re tired of playing hide and seek, board games or tea parties with your child, then fret not, because you’ve come at the right place. Today, I’m going to share with you some activities which you can do with your kids and all the more enjoy the time together.

It’s going to be fun, crafty and your kids will love you for it! I know, parenting is hard and it takes a lot to make a child happy but trust me on this, these activities will keep them busy and in a way, it’s a good way to develop their brains and the friendship and love between you, the parent and the child.

Cardboard House

You and your kid can team up and make a cardboard house with delivery boxes! You can paint it, decorate it and shape it however you want. You can even leave the imagination to your child and see how his/her dream house would be like.

Glow Stick Balloons!

For this amazing and fun activity that will bring giggles and smiles to your child’s face, all you need are mini glow sticks and a pack of balloons. Just put the glow sticks inside the balloon and blow them as big as you can. Then switch off the lights and enjoy a disco night!

Straw Necklaces

Just grab a bunch of straws, some string and, scissors (make sure not to give the scissors to your little ones) and create a straw necklace that will make your kid look fashionable (maybe?) but joyful as ever! It will also keep them busy so this is the right time to head to the kitchen to prepare your meals or do the laundry.

Messy Art Project

Who doesn’t love paints, right? For this activity, just grab a bunch of white papers and several boxes of paints to create a fun but absolutely messy art project that mostly involves bare hands and maybe even legs!

*Spoiler Alert!* It will make your floor messy so make sure to put a large newspaper or an unused/old sheet on the floor before beginning the activity.

Vegetable Stamping

This activity here is another of my favorite since all you need is some paints, paper, and vegetables that are cut in various shapes and sizes! Just dip the veggies in the paint and stamp it on the paper. However, make sure that your kid doesn’t take the veggie in his mouth!

My Grandfather’s Funeral Speech

This is the speech that I wrote for my Grandpa’s memorial…It’s a bit personal, but I just feel like sharing it on my blog, that’s all.

Good evening everyone.

First of, I want to thank you all for being here today to pay your respects to my grandfather, Rev. Joseph Das. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and uncle to all and I’m sure you all had the same level of appreciation and respect for him as I did.

Today, I took this chance to say a few words about him My grandfather was born in Berhampur, Orissa in the year 1935. He studied at International Grace Bible college in Philippines, Manila and completed his theology in the United states of America. Later, he was appointed as a missionary to a tribe in Orissa. However, due to an unfortunate event, he had to come to Vijayawada.

There he married my beautiful Grandmother, Rajakumari and they had two lovely daughters, Rachel Anupama and Beula Nirupama. My grandfather was a loving, caring, helping and selfless man. He was artistic and loved photography. He looked after his grandchildren with much affection and never did he complain about anything in his life.

Me and Cherry used to apply nail polish and give him facial massages and he would just lay there and let us do it all. He would make us laugh and tell us stories about monkeys and crocodiles.

He loved playing with our cats, listening to good old Dev Anand songs, but most of all, he loved spending time with his Grandson, Ponnuanna and looked forward to see Ronu. There are so many great memories of him that I will cherish. I will miss his laughs, his wisdom, his advices and his love.

My Thathiya lived a good and luxurious life. His wife, two daughters and son in laws and four grandchildren were the world to him. He chose to be with us and enjoyed his life to the fullest. He prayed and his prayers were answered. He did not suffer, rather he lived and died feeling content and in peace.

Thathiya, thank you for always being there for us in our good and bad times. Thank you for supporting us, encouraging us and guiding us. We will always miss you and we love you, Thathi.

I love you and I miss you Thathiya…

Grandpa…I love you.

We all knew that he was going to live no more and yet, when he took his last breath, we all broke into tiny pieces. His memories flashed in my mind and his last smile to me was painted in front of me. It was just that afternoon that I talked to him and told him that I would come. All he could was give a big smile and nod. I thought I would get to see him, whisper my promises to him and serve him more. But just a few hours later, my Grandmother called.

I was filled with guilt and regret that I couldn’t fulfil his last wishes. I cried even more by just thinking about it. However, a piece of me felt a relief because he had suffered so much. So much pain he endured and yet, he never complained. He bore the pain all to himself and smiled. Smiled because he was just happy to see us. It was as though he would forget all his agony by just seeing us move around and laugh and crack jokes.

But what pained me to know was that, in the end, he suffered a little bit more. I wanted to go to him and feed him, talk to him and hug him but our Lord has His own plans and His plans are always Great. Perhaps I wouldn’t have survived if I saw him like that. Perhaps it was for the better that I was away for a while.

I realized that I didn’t do much for him. I didn’t…

Even though everyone is saying that I have done enough, I feel like I have not. I still want to do more for him…I still want to feed him, talk to him and see him laugh at our jokes.

Grandpa…I love you so much. I really love you and I’m sorry for everything…

I feel guilty because I have a feeling that I might have hurt him or caused him to hate me by doing something which he displeased. And no matter how many good memories of him I try to recall, it’s overlapping with his loneliness that he was living in. I guess that’s what pains me…to know that he lived the rest of his life on bed; unable to go to places that he dearly loved or meet the people he dearly cared for.

I keep telling myself that I’m probably overthinking all this stuff and that eventually, everyone has to die. But like I said, what makes me sad isn’t his death but his memories and his suffering.

I just want to hug him tightly and close my eyes and wish that none of what happened is true. But that’s going against God’s Will and with this thinking of mine, I don’t want to displease the Almighty. I don’t want to say or think that it was His fault that Grandpa died because God gives life to whom He wills and takes away the life of whom He wills of His slaves. It’s life and we must move on. Our Lord is Most Knowing of everything and I’m glad that Grandpa died because none of us could see him suffer anymore.

To Allah we belong and to Allah we return.

I pray that our Lord, the Most Merciful admits my Grandfather into Paradise and Forgives all his sins. And I pray that He forgives me as well for my mistakes and shortcomings and for the things I shouldn’t have said to my grandpa and for the wishes I haven’t fulfilled.

Ameen.

Everyone has given me the task to write the funeral speech for him and although I would be happy to, I’m afraid that I won’t be able to because this is the first time someone so close and beloved to me has died…I don’t even know how or what I’m feeling but I pray that I find a way to cope with my grievances and be a support to my Grandma, my brother who is closer to my grandfather than me and my remaining family members.

I hope I do a good job of writing that funeral speech…I also wouldn’t mind a little help so if you’re reading this post, can you help me? What do I write and how do I write…?

Grandpa…I know you can’t hear me or read this article but I love you, okay? I didn’t say it to you before but I don’t regret it because I showed you my love through serving you patiently. I hope you loved me too just as you loved my brother and I hope we meet again in Paradise.

Tips for Ramadan | 2019

Before I begin talking, I just want to let you guys know that I’m so happy to be able to post on my blog again! A month ago, I attempted something, but it backfired, and my poor blog had to bear the consequences. However, with the help of WordPress support team, I was able to get my blog back and finally post again! I can’t thank them enough. They really helped me so much. I wish I could treat them to a cake or something haha. You guys missed me, didn’t you? I missed you guys too!

Anyway, now that I’m back in business, I’m gonna rock this platform again just like I used to! I kind of lack monetizing my blog… (just waiting for the money…) but once I have the cash in hand, I will kickstart my blog and I promise you that I will write even more interesting and amazing content. I want to share as much of my thoughts, knowledge and emotions with you as much as I can. I hope you guys will stay with me till the end and give me all your love and support because I need it badly.

Okay, so Ramadan has started and just like last year and the year before that, I posted ‘Ramadan Tips’. This year too, I decided to give you all a few beneficial tips that will help you make your Ramadan better and more rewarding and in control. Though this year might be tough for some people since the days are long and the nights are short. There’s a lot of time for Iftaar but only a couple of hours for Sehri. For those newbies who have just promised to fast this Ramadan, I hope the tips I give you will benefit you and I hope I get my reward from my Lord for helping you. Even if one of you read this, I’ll get my reward. So thank you for reading this and if you share this post, then you’ll certainly get your reward too! Isn’t that amazing? Why don’t you start your Ramadan by sharing this post with your friends and family? I know it’s not much, but it’s a start, isn’t it?

The first and foremost thing you must do is thank Allah, the Most High for giving you this month to repent and to change yourselves for the better. He kept you alive, He provided you but most of all, He gave you deen. He guided you to the right path and He promised you a place that will never perish (Paradise). Secondly, make your intention crystal clear and don’t go back on your word. Don’t let your inner desires stray you away from the right path or from the remembrance of Allah (Subhana-wa-Ta’ala). Once you’ve decided to change yourself, then you can’t and mustn’t turn back. Fight with yourself, know that you’re completely control of your decisions and put your trust in the Most Merciful. Make du’a to Allah to keep you, your family and the believers guided aright and make du’a to Allah to keep you firm in your faith.

Now that you’ve done those two things, it’s time to implement acts that will please our Lord, The Most Loving. Do you know what types of worship Allah loves? Not sure? Let me tell you:

  • Allah loves those who repent.
  • Allah loves those who read Quran, understand it and teach it.
  • Allah loves those who give in Charity.
  • Allah loves those who fast for his sake only.
  • Allah loves those who ask Him for help (even if it’s a pair of new jeans)
  • Allah loves those with good manners and behaviors.

Did you see? Allah loves the little things which we so deliberately forget. But, this Ramadan, let’s carry out these things and please our Lord. Let’s earn those rewards so that we won’t have any regrets on the Day of Resurrection when we see the scale of our deeds. Don’t we all want our good deeds to be heavy and our bad deeds to be as light as a feather?

For some of you who are well used to fasting, I’m pretty sure you will not read this post but for those who are looking for some tips that will ease their mind and shun the negative thoughts, then you’re in the right place! Here are a few tips that will help you, your family and your friends this Ramadan.

  • Have a Healthy Sehri
Sehri will be your breakfast, which means you must start your fast by eating a full and nutritious meal. Don’t forget to have your glass of milk, coffee or protein shake and eat a lot of eggs as they tend to keep you full and feeling energetic for a longer period.
  • Get Enough Sleep –
Ramadan is a time where we put out beloved technologies aside and turn to our Lord. We pray and read Quran all night and that kind of change will take some time for our body to adjust. Also, the best part about this Ramadan is that it’s vacation time! This is also the best time to teach your kids about Islam and gradually get them to start fasting as well. Be sure to get your 6-7 hours of sleep after Fajr and wake up feeling refreshed and ever ready to prepare for your Iftaar.
  • Make Lots of Du’a –
Ramadan isn’t just about fasting. It’s about hoping and trusting in Allah’s plan, it’s about praying for the right things, rewriting your destiny because Allah never ignores the prayers of a fasting person. This is your chance to ask for anything and everything (but it should be Halal, okay?) This is your time to pray and pray and pray for things you never knew you needed. You can also make a list of du’as so that you can pray smoothly without having to overthink or forget what you wanted to pray for.
  • Read Quran –Quran was revealed to our Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him) on this month which is the ninth month of the Islamic Calendar. That’s why we are obliged to read the Quran as much as possible during this month. Quran is the Speech of Allah and it brings us closer to Him and makes us more beloved to Him so what more could you ask for? If you wish to complete the Quran this month, I suggest that you read 4 pages after every Salat.
    • Fajr – 4
    • Zuhur – 4
    • Asr – 4
    • Maghrib – 4
    • Isha – 4
    • And if you’re awake in the night, then you can read 2 or 4 extra pages. (Though it really depends on the type of Quran you’re reading. If it’s a Quran with a big font, you might have to read a few extra pages to reach your goal).
This way, you can complete reading the entire Quran within 30 days.
  • But, do not force yourself and do not stress your mind because no matter if you complete reading the Quran or couldn’t before Ramadan ends, either way, Allah Azzawajal will reward you and will be pleased with you. It’s not obligatory to finish the Quran but to read it continually, to understand it, to act upon it and to preach it to others.
  •  Watch Islamic Videos and Listen to Lectures –
This is a great way and time to attain more beneficial knowledge. There are so many amazing scholars out there that will help you understand the Quran and deen easily. Youtube is filled with such respectful             scholars so instead of talking or playing games, watching such impactful videos will revive your soul and mind.
  • Iftaar isn’t a party –
Many of us start cooking feasts as the time for Iftaar draws near. However, that is not right. Sure, you can look forward to Iftaar but gobbling up dozens of cutlets in one go isn’t healthy. Try to eat healthy food in small portions and limit the intake of sweets and juices directly. Eat slowly and mindfully and eat only until you feel that you’re full. Do not eat just because there’s a lot of food on the table and you gotta finish it before the prayer starts. Make sure to eat 2-3 dates as it’s a Sunnah to break the fast with dates. I love the feeling of eating dates after a long and peaceful day.It makes me really happy and It’s a feeling only the true believers will experience.

Do you know the du’a to after breaking the fast?

Dha’habaz-Zam-Ahu-Wa-batal-Lati-Ooruqu-Wa-Saa-Batal-Ajooru-In-Sha-Allah

  • Read Taraweeh/Tahajjud –
You can either pray Taraweeh or pray Tahajjud if you want to stay up all night and Glorify the Praises of Your Lord and Talk to Him. But I suggest that you pray Taraweeh and then when the last ten days of Lailatul Qadr nights arrive, you can then pray Tahajjud. It’s up to you, whatever you find easy. Before you begin praying Taraweeh, eat a fruit or drink milk so that you won’t have to worry about your stomach growling in the middle of your prayer. You can also eat a dried fruits and nuts as they are high in protein and will keep your mind active.
  • Give Charity –The more charity you do, the more Allah will Bless you. It’s as simple as that. Allah is Ar-Razzaq, the Provider, so don’t worry about the money and just Zakat without thinking. Allah will give you more than you gave others. Don’t ever stop giving in charity. Even in Ramadan and after Ramadan. Even if you smile at your family members or your friends, your neighbor or to an old man, it’s a form of charity which Allah will take into account.
  • Give Food to the Orphans, the Needy, and the Poor –There are so many people and children out there who are fasting, but they don’t have the means to break their fast. Help them and know that Allah is watching. Help them and earn greater rewards. Help them with a good intention and know that Allah will wipe your sins away. Trust me, you’ll feel much better and you’ll feel your soul cleansing and becoming pious each day.
  • Workout –Working out for just 10-15 minutes after your Taraweeh will keep you active throughout the night and will keep you feeling sound throughout the day. You can skip the workouts if you want and just eat healthily but even a 5-minute workout can and will do good to your body. Plus, you won’t feel guilty about eating an entire slice of pie.
  • Forget about your Phone –
I think this point is very important for kids and adults of this generation as phones have become our constant companion. They act as though they literally can’t live without them. That all they need is phone instead of Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide. Nevertheless, take this month as an advantage, seize the phones and place them where no one can find or even guess. I’m just kidding though because we obviously need phone to communicate but avoid using your phone too much and concentrate more on Quran and Dikhr.
  • Drink Lots of Water –
Lastly, after you break your fast, increase your water intake because although you will feel active, your body won’t be able to do function properly unless you give it the missing oxygen that it needs. Also drinking a lot of water will prevent dizziness, nauseous, headaches and cravings.

I really hope these tips will benefit you this Ramadan In Sha Allah, and May Allah forgive you your sins, your mistakes, your shortcomings. May He, the Most Merciful, admit you into Paradise and save you from the Hell-Fire and May Allah accept your prayers, du’as, fasting and answer your invocations. May Allah bless this Ramadan, and May He make us among the righteous.

Ameen.

A Poem for My Grandpa

Just seeing my Grandfather living his last breaths breaks my heart…I wish I could be near him at this very moment; holding his hand, talking to him, telling him that everything is going to be alright. I miss his voice and the way he used to praise me from time to time, saying how patient I was helping him and feeding him. Gosh, I just miss him so much right now. I can’t stop my tears whenever I think about him. I video called him yesterday and he couldn’t even talk properly.

I know he doesn’t have long to live but I wish I could just be beside him. You know, I still feel that I haven’t taken care of him much. I suddenly feel so guilty and I’m overwhelmed with regrets. There were times when I got slightly annoyed or didn’t listen to him much and now those things are kind of getting to me. You know what they say, “You only know you love them when they’ve gone away.”

But I want him to die peacefully. I don’t want him suffering with pain. If he just passes away in his sleep, I think that would make me happy. Here is a little poem which I wrote for him, but I don’t think I can read it to him. Maybe my grandmother would, but…anyway, here I go.

“You held me in your arms,
fed me, played with me and
helped me sleep at night.

You made up stories,
just to make me smile,
You took me to places,
I could never find.

I can’t thank you enough,
for the things you’ve done for me.
You’ve given me so much joy all these years,
that I will never forget even if I’m drowning in tears.

I can’t see you go away,
Grandpa, I love you so much,
but unfortunately, we all get old,
and some day we all must fade away.

I only pray that you are happy,
until your last breath.
I only pray that I get to see you for one last time,
before your silent and blissful death.”

Grandpa, I love you.

My Favorite Disney Movies (Part 1)

I am not a movie geek but just like everyone else, I love watching a good movie. I know that some of the movies that I will list, might not be to your liking because no doubt, everyone has their own likes and dislikes. But still, I propose you continue reading this post. Who knows, you might find something that we both like in common! I don’t even watch movies that much unless it has good reviews, or the trailer is like super epic. Additionally, I’m very choosy when it comes to watching movies. Sometimes I have this urge to watch an action film, but when I’m just getting ready to watch that movie with a bucket of popcorn, my mind dramatically changes, saying, “Why you watching an action movie? Watch a romance movie!” Seriously, it’s so annoying because I had been wasting my precious hour to find the right print with the right subtitles of the freaking action movie!

Sorry…I just hate it when that happens.

However, strangely, I happen to like and watch more Disney based movies. That’s what’s magical about Disney; anyone can watch it. Be you young or old, you will understand and feel the emotions the characters are feeling. I love Disney but unfortunately, I have never been to Disneyland… Let me just go inside a hole and cry….

Anyway, without further rambling, here is my favorite Disney list: –

  • Mulan
  • Moana
  • Tangled
  • Cars
  • Cinderella
  • Finding Nemo
  • Snow-white
  • Aladdin
  • High School Musical
  • The Jungle Book
  • Maleficent

  • The Princess Diaries
  • Peter Pan
  • Pirates of the Caribbean
  • Narnia
  • Sky High
  • Tron
  • Bolt
  • Frozen
  • Toy Story 1
  • Wreck-it-Ralph
  • Big Hero 6
  • Zootopia
  • Inside Out

This is part 1 of the movie category, so stay tuned for part 2 which is, “My Favorite Pixar Movies.”
If you see a movie which you liked, comment down below or just like this post!

My 7 Favorite Ways to Recharge My Energy Levels

At some point in our lives, we are all drained. We all need that little break, that little breathe in and out and some cold water to flush out the stress from our mind.

Below I’ve listed my favorite ways that I use to recharge my energy levels after a long day or week.

1) Exercise – I am a fitness freak and if I don’t workout for even a day, I feel unhealthy and my body and mind begins to some what crumble. I know it’s weird but if you’re a fitness freak too, you’ll understand what I’m saying.

2) Eat a dessert –Desserts are love and even though I’m on a diet, eating some sweet is the only way I can sometimes forget about my stressful day and start a new and fresh one. Eating desserts gives me inspiration and though I feel guilty after eating it, I try to ignore that feeling and just be happy.

3) Journal – If nothing works, what I do is sit down with my colored pens and washi tapes and just doodle or write something in my journal. It really helps me to forget whatever tension I have on my mind. It’s kind of like a distraction and I really enjoy journaling.

4) Dance –This is one of my favorite ways to recharge myself. I love dancing and at the same time sweating it out. Just grooving to my favorite music makes me happy and enthusiastic. Just a little note, I actually had dreams of becoming a dancer but…eventually, I became an author haha.

5) No phones –Just putting aside my phone for a day is such a relief. I get a little whacky if I don’t check my phone often but just to be on the safe side, I grab my gameboy or playstation and just play some games to pass my time and forget the worries of this world.

6) Reading –Another great way I use to recharge my mind. Reading takes me to a whole other world and sometimes I’m happy to forget about this one. Currently, I’m reading Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix.

7) Planning –At first, I thought this wouldn’t work, but when I started planning what I had to do the next day and the day after, my life got a whole lot of easier and some of the stress that I had actually left me for good. A kind of energy surged inside me the next day and I actually did what I wrote/planned I would do.

So guys, these are some of my ways which I use to recharge myself after a long hard day. I hope you will apply these ways to your life as well if you still haven’t and I wish you all the best for everything!

I wonder what your way of recharging is? Let me know in the comments!
And if you still have some time, do check out my previous post, 9 Things I Like About Myself.

Until then,

9 Things I Like About Myself

Everyone loves a thing or two about themselves. And they feel proud about it. It’s also good that you know what you like about yourself because then your true nature will automatically shine. The more you know about yourself, the more confident you will be.

There are so many people out there that have no idea what they like about themselves. They have a hard time figuring out and that’s sad because you are the only one who knows better about you. No one can tell you what you like about yourself and what you don’t. It’s up to to choose and if you still haven’t, then I suggest that after reading this post, you put down your phone or laptop, close your eyes and just think about this topic.

Ask yourself, “What do I like about myself?”

And if the answers don’t come to you even then, then God help you, kid.

Anyway, here are 5 things I like about myself :-

  1. I’m not Selfish
  2. I’m soft and kind (especially to old people)
  3. I’m passionate about the things I love
  4. I’m always thirsty to learn new things and to gain more beneficial knowledge
  5. I’ve a strong heart
  6. I try to be as positive as I can be
  7. I always smile even though I go through a lot
  8. I have a high pain tolerance
  9. Lastly, I’m kind of innocent which puts me in trouble from time to time

Try to get to know yourself because that’s what will shape you to become a better and confident person.

I hope you find your way and I wish you all the best.

Until then,

Peace neighbors,

10 Important life lessons love has taught us

Love. You get this excitement when you hear this word, right?
When you think of love, you think of commitment, patience and endurance.

Love is something precious, something that every individual is gifted with. That’s something, okay? If there was no love, then it’s obvious there wouldn’t have been you and me.

Being in love teaches you so many things. You go through tough trials together, you motivate and inspire each other, you help each other.

But sometimes, it just doesn’t work for some people. Love is something you have to experiment with. You cannot know it unless you investigate it yourself. There will be heart breaks, sleepless nights and gloomy days, but in the end, you’re left with a lesson to learn.

Let me list ten significant life lessons that love has taught us; be it a small point or a big.

1) Empathy – When you love someone, you don’t and can’t see them cry or get hurt. If they’re happy, you’re happy. If they’re sad, you feel sadder. So you do everything in your power you can to make them happy because you regard their feelings just as you would regard yours.

2) Decide – It’s up to you to choose if you love that person or not. The controller is in your hand, you’re the player. You have to choose to love them, or leave them. Listen to your heart.

3) Feel good – There’s a huge advantage in being in love and that’s feeling good whenever you’re with them. Nowadays, it’s what we all need. To feel good, to feel loved. If you feel good, then you’ve found the right person to spend your life with.

4) No expectations – When you love someone till the moon and the stars, you can’t expect them to love you the same way. You can’t expect to get an extra slice of cheesecake just because you love it. No, it’s all about giving and acting whether that person recognizes your sincerity or not.

5) Acceptance – Love means accepting their flaws, their mistakes, differences and the list goes on. If you truly love them, you need to accept them the way they are because isn’t that why you fell for them in the first place? There will be differences, but you just close your eyes and accept them.

6) Commitment – Love is not temporary. You can’t use it and then throw it away as if it was an torn, stinky sock. Love is not chemistry or infactuation. You need to promise to stay by each others side NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS!

7) Attention – The person drowning in true love never gets bored of giving all their attention to that particular individual. They want to make them feel that they’re near them, watching, feeling, sensing and not just ignoring because you’ve done your job of confessing. It’s not a task, it’s just something you like to give.

8) Time – Love takes time to grow. You can’t presume someone will love you at first sight. No, you need patience and perserverance. You need to give it a little time for it to develop.

9) Selflessness – You make them your priority. You solve their problems first, you make them feel happy and cherished. Real love isn’t selfish.

10) Limitless – Love is unconditional. There’s no expectations or limits set. You just love them for they are. You don’t care about their background or their past. You just love them and that’s the beauty of it all.

P.S. Bonus tip, love also means letting go. If you truly love that person, then you won’t chain them up in your room or tie a rope around their waist. You’ll let them go, you’ll set them free and if they come back to you, then I guarantee that that’s true love. But if they don’t, then it was never meant to be.

“Love is freedom and deliverance not possession or obsession.”
