50 THINGS TO DO ON YOUR BUCKETLIST AFTER LOCKDOWN | 2020

This pandemic has kept us all on our toes, hasn’t it? It stripped us all of our happiness because we aren’t able to explore the places we thought we would this year, we aren’t able to meet our friends and check-off all those amazing restaurants and cuisines we thought we would try, and we surely can’t even meet our family because apparently, we can’t risk them getting sick just because we’re in need of some picnic or adventure.

However, things are slowly beginning to settle in and I think slowly, the flights and other means of transportations will open soon too. Meaning, there’s still hope for us to complete our bucket list but of course, it wouldn’t be the same. There will always be the masks, the gloves, the sanitization, and the six or twelve feet distance.

But that’s okay. At least you will be able to relax your nerves and give some beauty to your eyes, right? It’s really been so long so here I am today with a bucket list for everyone to use or to give you all an idea if you’re thinking what to do after the lockdown is over. (hopefully)

7 Activities To Do With Kids Amidst Lockdown

If you’re a parent and you’re tired of playing hide and seek, board games or tea parties with your child, then fret not, because you’ve come at the right place. Today, I’m going to share with you some activities which you can do with your kids and all the more enjoy the time together.

It’s going to be fun, crafty and your kids will love you for it! I know, parenting is hard and it takes a lot to make a child happy but trust me on this, these activities will keep them busy and in a way, it’s a good way to develop their brains and the friendship and love between you, the parent and the child.

Cardboard House

You and your kid can team up and make a cardboard house with delivery boxes! You can paint it, decorate it and shape it however you want. You can even leave the imagination to your child and see how his/her dream house would be like.

Glow Stick Balloons!

For this amazing and fun activity that will bring giggles and smiles to your child’s face, all you need are mini glow sticks and a pack of balloons. Just put the glow sticks inside the balloon and blow them as big as you can. Then switch off the lights and enjoy a disco night!

Straw Necklaces

Just grab a bunch of straws, some string and, scissors (make sure not to give the scissors to your little ones) and create a straw necklace that will make your kid look fashionable (maybe?) but joyful as ever! It will also keep them busy so this is the right time to head to the kitchen to prepare your meals or do the laundry.

Messy Art Project

Who doesn’t love paints, right? For this activity, just grab a bunch of white papers and several boxes of paints to create a fun but absolutely messy art project that mostly involves bare hands and maybe even legs!

*Spoiler Alert!* It will make your floor messy so make sure to put a large newspaper or an unused/old sheet on the floor before beginning the activity.

Living Room Fort

You and your kids can gather colorful blanket and make a fort of your own! You can decorate it however you want, play board games and even read them storybooks.

Popsicle Stick Crafts

I used to do this activity so much when I was a kid. It’s fun, playful and your kids would love it, trust me! All you need is a bag of popsicle sticks, paper, and glue. You can create so many shapes and scenes with it. The ideas are limitless!

Vegetable Stamping

This activity here is another of my favorite since all you need is some paints, paper, and vegetables that are cut in various shapes and sizes! Just dip the veggies in the paint and stamp it on the paper. However, make sure that your kid doesn’t take the veggie in his mouth!

I hope you liked this article and will try some of these activities with your kids as well! In a way, this lockdown has given us a chance to spend some quality time with our family so let’s utilize every second of it and make it memorable.

USA TRIP (PART 2)

I’m really enjoying everything about my trip here. I went to so many amazing places that I wish I could just live here. I thought I would update you all every day but sadly, that wasn’t possible so I just decided to write part 1, part 2 and so on.

And believe me when I say that my memory is really bad. I can’t even remember what I ate last night so I’m not promising you guys all the deets haha.

Alright, so after a couple of days, we went to Ghiradelli to eat some delicious ice-cream. Gosh, I seriously can’t believe that someone could make an ice cream taste so good! We ate something that had a warm brownie at the bottom, then a large scoop of coffee ice cream and on top of it hot fudge. Mmm…it was just…too good! It wasn’t too sweet either so I enjoyed it thoroughly. (Sadly, I was in such a hurry to eat the ice cream that I forgot to take a picture of it… :P)

Then after eating @Ghiradelli, we went to San Francisco viewpoint to have a look at the beautiful nightlife and bridge. It was extremely cold when we got out of the car but it was totally worth it!

Showing a little of my photography skills 😛

———————————————————————————————————————————————————

Cut scene all the fun times with family and yummy homemade food.

We went to Sacramento to my brother’s house. There, I just spent the time with him since we had met after a really long time and we had many things to discuss. We also went to Roseville and I gotta say, Sacramento isn’t all that bad. It’s quiet, perfect for elders and it has some great scenery. I loved the entire road-trip from Santa Clara to Sacramento.

We had halted at McDonald’s to eat breakfast; I got a McMuffin with hashbrown and a black coffee. And then we also went to the outlet malls that come in between. (sorry, I don’t quite remember the name of the outlet…)

I loved the drive. It was soothing and I could see nature. So it was a win-win situation.

After a few more days–specifically on a weekend–I finally went to Los Angeles. The one place I wanted to go to for a really long time. I don’t know, I just love L.A. Perhaps, it’s because of its liveliness or the people but I do. What I don’t like is the traffic. But, you can’t always be perfect, can you?

In L.A, I went to Hollywood, Walk-Of-Fame, Rodeo and….roll the drums, please…SIX FLAGS! I took some photos at the very top of Hollywood where you literally have to pass through many beautiful yet expensive houses on the hills. I bought myself and my family some souvenirs, gifts and even T-shirts!

Then, at night, we went to an Indian Restaurant to eat Biryani. Oh my gosh, don’t even get me started on it. We all were super hungry, super tired and the only thing to fuel us up until we got to my auntie’s house was by stuffing myself with chicken/mutton biryani. It was so good, I literally felt as if my stomach would burst!

Alright, so let me just blabber on about Six Flags a little. I was nervous at first, but when I sat on the first ride named Full Throttle which was supposed to be a 160 feet full loop, I knew that I could do most of the rides. Not all, but I was brave enough to sit on many thrilling rides. I felt dizzy and nauseous, I agree on that but the excitement after the ride was just superb! Like, I have this love-hate relationship with Theme Parks but I guess I just have to let go of the fear and get strong out there first!

I wanted to sit on the Drop but I was too scared…Yep, I’m a coward but I didn’t want to throw up or get my neck sprained so…But let me tell you one thing, I sat on the fastest roller coaster in Ferrari World, Abu Dhabi, U.A.E so that does pretty much makes me an Avenger, alright. I don’t have proof but I’m no liar either.

I then came back to Roseville to rest for a day and then went back to Santa Clara. The trip was super fun and I just wish I had lived in L.A for a bit longer because it was such a beautiful and energetic place.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————

My visit to both the places was super fun and with family, I could create enjoyable and pleasant memories that I would never forget (which is a white lie because I do forget quite easily)

Anyway guys, do you have any memories you would like to share with me? If yes, then do comment below because I would love to know about it!

PART 3 of the U.S.A Trip will come shortly.

Until then,

As we grow, we sometimes begin to dislike things that we like and like the things we dislike. So if you ever stumble upon a similar post of mine, don’t forget to comment below and find the difference! (That’s fun, right?)

Teleportation!

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?

I don’t need to think too much for this question. I would definitely would want to have teleportation because then I could go to so many places in so little time! I could also commit a heist *smirks* but, rest assured, I won’t do that because I’m a good girl. I’m a good and innocent human being.

Teleportation is awesome. The funny thing is, whenever I watch Doraemon, I wish I had the anywhere door because then I would be able to go to Korea, or Japan or China and come back just in time for dinner!

Alas, there’s no such thing as anywhere door, let alone having magical powers…
But it really would be great if we all had such kind of power, right?

Well, truth be told, the Jinns have such powers.
So, it’s not really a fantasy thing.

But if we all had superpowers, the world would definitely be in much chaos.

My Favorite Children’s Book

I love reading children’s books even now because they are filled with so many morals, emotions and actuality. You can somehow relate to the main characters, you can easily sympathize with them, you can feel yourself being in their shoes.

I know that favorite means having only one thing, but I can’t just choose one and leave the rest because that doesn’t seem fair to me…

These are the books that I still read now and then :-

  1. Matilda – by Roald Dahl
  2. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – by Roald Dahl
  3. James and the Giant Peace – by Roald Dahl
  4. Diary of a Wimpy Kid – Jeff Kinney
  5. Malgudi Days – R.K Narayan

As you can see, I’m a huge fan of Roald Dahl because I’d read his books the entire time I went to school, and I love the way he imagines things, you know. If I ever got the chance (which I would never) I’d dive in his mind and see what goes in there.

Anyway, what is your favorite children’s book? It can be just one or more.
I would love to know about it.

Peace neighbors,

30 Things I want to do this Fall!

Fall is my favorite season. The world is painted beautifully with shades of bright orange and subtle red. It’s the perfect time to capture moments with your friends, family or your lover.

Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.

– F. Scott Fitzgerald.

annie-spratt-40195-unsplash.jpg

Fall is a beautiful season. It’s filled with love, endless memories and most of all, unlimited hot chocolate with double whipped cream topped with cocoa powder and chocolate shavings. I know the rule is to drink everything pumpkin spice, but sometimes, we must break rules, hon.

This fall, I wish to do a few things that I haven’t been able to do it the last year and some things I hope to repeat because why not. Things like;

1) Visiting a corn maze.

2) Apple picking – I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be fun.

3) Visiting a chocolate factory!

4) Roasting marshmallows!!

5) Hiking.

And all at once, summer collapsed into fall. – Oscar Wilde

6) Wrap myself in a warm blanket and read a good book.

7) Plan a bonfire!

8) Watch horror movies.

9) Visit a farm.

10) Drive through the country.

11) Go horse back riding – I’ve never actually tried riding a horse, but I’m a quick learner.

12) Visit a fall festival.

13) Paint/Carve pumpkins.

14) Go Hay riding.

15) Have a picnic!

16) Tell ghost stories…Oooo it’s gonna be a spooky night indeed!

17) Make/eat candied apples.

18) Bake pies! lots of them!

19) Go to a football game – I just love football. The end.

20) Visit a corn maze – Though I need to have someone with me…I’m bad at puzzles, even so at mazes.

21) Play games with family.

alisa-anton-393305-unsplash.jpg

“Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go.”

22) Jump in a pile of dried leaves! – It’s always fun to mess things up!

23) Visit a haunted house – It’s a must.

24) Cuddle with the love of my life and star gaze.

25) Wear fall oriented clothes – We can’t forget fashion now, can we ladies?

26) I know this might seem a bit dramatic and cheesy but…I want to kiss my lover in the rain.

27) Build a scarecrow.

28) Take a stroll on a rainy day.

29) Do a movie marathon.

30) Drink apple cider- I wonder how it tastes…

Home Alone

What do you do when you’re home alone?

I always go out with my parents; be it grocery shopping or for some random business work, but sometimes when I don’t have the mood.to get up and get ready, I tend to stay at home in my warm PJ’s and just take a day off doing nothing.

As soon as my parents leave, I grab my cookie jar, sit in front of my T.V/Laptop and watch something that I had been thinking of watching for the past month.

Its actually fun and calming to see something while thinking nothing and having no sounds around you. You’re just you. Your own best friend. You laugh, cry and get scared by yourself. It’s like you’re in an apocalyptic world, you know.

But, eventually, I end up texting my mom or dad and asking them where they are right now and how much time will it take for them to come home.

What do you guys do when you’re home alone?

Do comment below!

Until then,

This or That Challenge!

I’ve seen so many people doing this, and I wanted to try it too, because why not~ Also, since it’s Ramadan I’m not having any time to publish any posts for you guys, so why don’t I make it up to you all? I’ll try to be more active from now on! Because lately, I’ve been gaining followers and I certainly don’t want to lose them (shamelessly being honest)

Anyway, let’s start this challenge!

DAY or NIGHT? Night, of course. It’s always night.

RURAL or URBAN? Hm…This is hard. It also depends on my mood, but right now, I would choose Rural.

BUS or TRAIN? Train.

MOUNTAIN or BEACH? Mountains! I would love me some wind~

SUNRISE or SUNSET? – Ugh…this is hard. I love both! But if I had to choose…then it would be sunrise because nothing beats the beautiful sun rays as it comes up to greet us.

DOGS or CATS? – Cats! (I have a cat named Ginger by the way)

ZOO or AQUARIUM? – Aquarium because underwater creatures amaze me…

INTROVERT or EXTROVERT? – Extrovert.

SINGING or DANCING? – Dancing all the way~ If you can move, you can dance *winks*

GOLD or SILVER? – Gold.

BOOKS or MOVIES? – Hm…I think I’ll have to choose books because you can easily get immersed in it and you get more feels than the movie is able give.

WINTER or SUMMER? – No doubt, it’s Winter.

ROSES or SUNFLOWERS? – Roses are good, but sunflowers have a story of their own.

KISSES or HUGS? – I’m more of a hugs person.

TATTOOS or PIERCINGS? – Piercings. Tattoos are harmful, and I can’t do it, so.

DRESSES or SKIRTS? – I rarely wear skirts, so it’s dresses for me.

HEELS or SNEAKERS? – Sneakers. Comfort is everything.

LONG HAIR or SHORT HAIR? – Long hair because now I’m sick of having short hair.

MAKEUP or NATURAL LOOK? – Natural look. Makeup hides the true beauty.

TEA or COFFEE? – And this is a billion-dollar question…Hm…Mm…Uh…*Sighs* Coffee it is, I guess.

HAMBURGER or PIZZA? – Tell me one person who hasn’t chose Pizza.

VANILLA or CHOCOLATE? – Is that even a question? Chocolate is bae~

BATH or SHOWER? – Shower because I don’t like to spend much time in the bathroom.

DINE IN or TAKEAWAY? – I prefer dine in.

NIGHT IN or NIGHT OUT? – Night out. The city is the most beautiful at that time.

IPHONE or ANDROID? – Android.

CURLY HAIR or STRAIGHT HAIR? – Curly hair. Not that I hate straight hair, but curls are cuter.

ICE CREAM or DONUTS? – This is easy. Donuts.

SMILE or GAME FACE? – Smile.

And, the end.

I hope you guys enjoyed this mini article and I repeat, I’ll try to be more active!

Before going, let me ask you a THIS and THAT challenge: SLEEPING or WORKING OUT?

Let me know in the comments below~ Don’t forget to like and share this post if you like!

Mini Review of Jung Ilhoon’s ‘She’s Gone’ MV

She’s Gone is the title track of the solo debut album titled, ‘Big Wave’ released by BTOB’s Jung Ilhoon. The song is about Ilhoon’s girlfriend who leaves him perhaps for another guy? But he says that’s he’s alright with it, that he’s going to endure the pain anyway and live his life to the fullest now instead of mopping over her. He also tells that she’s evil and that he’s now set free from the prison he was living in. He alleviates himself by saying that he escaped himself because she had messed up herself. The song has a combined feeling of love and animosity and he can’t help feeling that way now that she’s gone. Nevertheless, he tells her to live well, to not regret her decision, to take care of her herself and with a final goodbye, he tells her that he loves her.

This song and MV could’ve gone slow and tragic but since our Ilhoon is a rapper, he’s not going to make us cry. Instead, he induced it with an up-beat, country-rock concord that just makes your head bob to the rhythm and forget that it’s an unhappy song of a lover boy. In the video, Ilhoon is seen being carefree and enjoying his time with his friends showing that he has already gotten over her. We see no tears or breaking of the walls or a dark cloud hanging above his head, but we do see the breaking of a beer bottle and that’s only natural, isn’t it? He also shows his frustration by playing shooting games in an arcade.

I liked Ilhoon’s style, attitude and his insouciant vibe. As the song slowly comes to an end, there’s the clapping of the hands as if it was an anthem. An anthem for all those who lose their girls like him. A goodbye anthem you could say.

I liked the MV because of its dark rooms and alleys, smoking gas, awesome background dancers and our very own Ilhoon being Ilhoon. It’s a song that just lifts even the most dejected man. The perfect song that can be listened to when you’ve just broke up.

She’s Gone MV
