3. Make time for yourself:

I believe this is the most important aspect of our lives as we get so busy with our daily life/work that we forget to make time for ourselves. Selfcare is truly important if we want to reach our goals and fulfill our dreams. We must take at least 10 minutes every day to journal, to smile, to do something that makes us happy and you will soon see a change in your life because you’re not just working your butt off but you’re rewarding yourself for it as well.

4. Make time for workouts:

I am a fitness freak and if I don’t work out even for a day, my body literally breaks down and I feel stressed, bloated, and unhealthy. As a result, I am unable to work properly and I tend to get a lot of writer’s block (apparently, I always have to resort to caffeine for that which is very unhealthy) So, get your body moving; be it for a walk, jog, or just going for grocery shopping. Do not be lazy because a moving body gives you a productive mind. Working out is beneficial for your body and not only will it make you look better but feel better too.

5. Identify Your Goals:

This is another crucial step you must take every single day. Knowing your goals and dreams is significant if you want to see successful results. You need to plan your day, week, month, and year accordingly, you need to adjust your lives and you also need to tend to your daily needs without making others frown. How are you going to do that? by planning and by having a strong and positive mindset. You can’t just break down because you chose this path and you must reach your destination. How long will you stay in a hotel or Airbnb? Not long right? Think of your life that way and pursue your goals. Recall why you’re doing what you’re doing and trust me, you will be in charge of your mind, not the opposite.

I’m really enjoying everything about my trip here. I went to so many amazing places that I wish I could just live here. I thought I would update you all every day but sadly, that wasn’t possible so I just decided to write part 1, part 2 and so on. 

And believe me when I say that my memory is really bad. I can’t even remember what I ate last night so I’m not promising you guys all the deets haha. 

Alright, so after a couple of days, we went to Ghiradelli to eat some delicious ice-cream. Gosh, I seriously can’t believe that someone could make an ice cream taste so good! We ate something that had a warm brownie at the bottom, then a large scoop of coffee ice cream and on top of it hot fudge. Mmm…it was just…too good! It wasn’t too sweet either so I enjoyed it thoroughly. (Sadly, I was in such a hurry to eat the ice cream that I forgot to take a picture of it… :P)

Then after eating @Ghiradelli, we went to San Francisco viewpoint to have a look at the beautiful nightlife and bridge. It was extremely cold when we got out of the car but it was totally worth it!

Cut scene all the fun times with family and yummy homemade food. 

We went to Sacramento to my brother’s house. There, I just spent the time with him since we had met after a really long time and we had many things to discuss. We also went to Roseville and I gotta say, Sacramento isn’t all that bad. It’s quiet, perfect for elders and it has some great scenery. I loved the entire road-trip from Santa Clara to Sacramento. 

We had halted at McDonald’s to eat breakfast; I got a McMuffin with hashbrown and a black coffee. And then we also went to the outlet malls that come in between. (sorry, I don’t quite remember the name of the outlet…)

I loved the drive. It was soothing and I could see nature. So it was a win-win situation. 

After a few more days–specifically on a weekend–I finally went to Los Angeles. The one place I wanted to go to for a really long time. I don’t know, I just love L.A. Perhaps, it’s because of its liveliness or the people but I do. What I don’t like is the traffic. But, you can’t always be perfect, can you? 

In L.A, I went to Hollywood, Walk-Of-Fame, Rodeo and….roll the drums, please…SIX FLAGS! I took some photos at the very top of Hollywood where you literally have to pass through many beautiful yet expensive houses on the hills. I bought myself and my family some souvenirs, gifts and even T-shirts! 

Then, at night, we went to an Indian Restaurant to eat Biryani. Oh my gosh, don’t even get me started on it. We all were super hungry, super tired and the only thing to fuel us up until we got to my auntie’s house was by stuffing myself with chicken/mutton biryani. It was so good, I literally felt as if my stomach would burst! 

Alright, so let me just blabber on about Six Flags a little. I was nervous at first, but when I sat on the first ride named Full Throttle which was supposed to be a 160 feet full loop, I knew that I could do most of the rides. Not all, but I was brave enough to sit on many thrilling rides. I felt dizzy and nauseous, I agree on that but the excitement after the ride was just superb! Like, I have this love-hate relationship with Theme Parks but I guess I just have to let go of the fear and get strong out there first! 

I wanted to sit on the Drop but I was too scared…Yep, I’m a coward but I didn’t want to throw up or get my neck sprained so…But let me tell you one thing, I sat on the fastest roller coaster in Ferrari World, Abu Dhabi, U.A.E so that does pretty much makes me an Avenger, alright. I don’t have proof but I’m no liar either. 

I then came back to Roseville to rest for a day and then went back to Santa Clara. The trip was super fun and I just wish I had lived in L.A for a bit longer because it was such a beautiful and energetic place.


My visit to both the places was super fun and with family, I could create enjoyable and pleasant memories that I would never forget (which is a white lie because I do forget quite easily)

My 2020 Goals!

Okay, so I seriously can’t believe that 2020 is coming! I mean, just a few more days and it’s like…we’re in future. It’s pretty dope and I just hope next year, everything will go as planned or prayed.

There are just so many things that I want to do. So many things that I want to achieve. I just feel like I need to make my name next year no matter what because I’m done hiding in the shadows. I’m done trying to be this shy, introvert girl who only blogs and vlogs and writes deep, meaningful and sometimes painful poetry that’s also garnished with a little sarcasm and angst.

Well, I don’t know if I should tell you my goals or not, I might keep some of them a secret, but I might share most of it with you all. So, let’s see what my goals for 2020 are!

  1. Become an Entrepreneur: I seriously have no idea how I’m going to do it, but I’m going to do it. If you guys have any ideas or recommendations, please do give me a push in the back!
  2. Be consistent on making Youtube Videos.
  3. Write more stories/poems.
  4. Publish a Poetry Book.
  5. Become a Level 2 Seller on Fiverr.
  6. Be more mindful of myself.
  7. Read more books.
  8. Memorize more Surahs from the Quran.
  9. Go to Hajj.
  10. Travel to different places.
  11. Enjoy life.
  12. Try different dishes.
  13. Journal everyday: I always tend to write one or two days and then I don’t even look at my journal for the next 3-6 months…I seriously need to stop doing that.
  14. Keep my health in check.
  15. Be a good sister, daughter, cousin and friend to my friends and family.
  16. Try to write more blogs and gain more subscribers.
  17. Become someone’s role model.
  18. Start a Podcast.

So, here are some of my goals that I want to achieve this year. I don’t know if I will or if I won’t but I promise that I will try because nothing will happen if we don’t build the first block. Besides, Rome or say, any other country wasn’t built in one day, right? It took them years and we can’t expect our lives to go as planned too but we can at least take the first baby step and try to extend our hand to pick up the flag that has our face on it, walk to the top of the hill and place it right where it belongs.

I pray that this year, all my dreams and wishes will come true and I pray that everyone who is struggling will find peace and harmony too.

So I thought of eating Gluten today because my weight was increasing and I got terrified due to the fact that if I gain weight, then my PCOS will be back. 

So, I ate 1 Roti/Chapati and I regretted it right away. As I was eating, I felt my chest tightening and I just felt really weird… It was as if someone was choking me. Yet, I ignored those sensations and continued eating. 

Eventually, after I was done with my breakfast, I had to rush to the bathroom because my gut didn’t accept Gluten. I sat in the bathroom for like 10 freaking minutes and I was like, “okay… I’m done experimenting. Gluten is seriously not for me.” 

I now am a 99% sure that I am Gluten-intolerant. Well, now that I know, I will go back to my usual Gluten – Free diet and just forget about these experiments because damn… They made me exhausted and also, I have a freaking headache now so thank you, Gluten, for making my day worse. 

Anyway, how are you guys? 

Also, I want to bring to light that a pigeon had laid eggs in our little balcony in a small pot and the eggs are hatched! The pigeon began to feed her babies from today and they haven’t even opened their eyes yet! I believe that it’s really a blessing that animals are hatching eggs in my house. 

Because obviously, animals choose their places only if they’re clean and pure from any sin and filth. 

I can’t wait to see the 2 babies grow up and fly away!
I have a lot of work to do today as well. Really busy with my Freelance writing stuff. I also have to Vlog a reaction video so be sure to check that out in my YouTube Channel when I upload it. 

Hm… What else? 

I shall post a diary entry tomorrow as well, God Willing. And sorry in advance if I don’t haha. I’m really busy so these small things sometimes do slip my mind. 
I’m human too, people!

5 Things to do every morning

What do you do every morning? Do you do yoga or listen to music, start writing your novel/blog article or do you just start reading a book? Many of us do so many different things to start our day happily.

But sometimes, we tend to miss out on the important things, like greeting your family members or writing your goals for today in your journal or diary. These are the little things that helps us make our day even more productivity and content.

Today, I am going to list a 5 things that you should do every morning.

  1. Greet your parents/siblings/relatives (if they’re not awake, that’s okay)
  2. Write your goals/lists in your journal.
  3. Thank God for giving your another day to live and repent.
  4. Be affirmative and always think positively.
  5. Do yoga and eat a healthy breakfast (Do not skip breakfast because it’s the most important meal of the day!)

These five, easy things will make your day even better, trust me on this! I myself do these things and I’ve already made it a habit and so should you. Most of you all must already do these things but to those who don’t, I think you should start doing these things because it’s the small things that go a long way.

With that, I hope you have a great morning or night or wherever you are! Implement these five things and let me know how you feel once you’ve done it all or even started with just one thing!

Journal Entry

*So for some reason I couldn’t publish this article yesterday. Anyway, it has become a #belatedmondaypost~


I thought of not making anything, but I had the urge to cook and because I was disappointed yesterday at myself, I wanted to prove my family that I am a good cook. So, I decided to make Hara Bhara Kebab and the result was…

It became a little too salty…

Okay, yesterday it was sweet, today it was salty so maybe tomorrow, it will be perfect?

I mean, come on! What’s happening to me?! Why can’t I get the proportions right! I know I’m still learning but gosh, it’s so annoying when the dish you’re preparing with so much thought and care, ends up with criticism or in the dust bin. But, like it wasn’t so bad either. If you just ate it with tomato ketchup, it was pretty good.

Well, I’m trying to console myself by saying that “We learn by our mistakes.” And we really do. Now I know that salt and sugar are pretty tricky things that can either ruin your dish or make them Gordon Ramsay’s dish.

But, let me be clear here…I won’t give up! Not yet, not ever. I don’t want to lose this passion of cooking just because a couple of my dishes turned out bad. I’m trying and I’m confident that someday, I will open my own restaurant and you all will be there to taste my cuisines! YES! AMEN!

Sorry, I know I’m a bit hyped but I don’t know why, all of a sudden, I got possessed with cooking and I’m enjoying every single minute I spend in the kitchen; except washing the dishes…It makes me tired.
But, I’m also glad to say that my family is proud of me for trying. I’m running with the mindset of cooking delicious foods for my future family and husband (which I hope you guys know who I want my husband to be by now…It’s Kim Jongin…No joke…) And I’m already 20 so I at-least got to do this much, right?

Nowadays, outside food is just not tasty anymore. Forget healthy, it just lacks the crave and the umph of it all. I don’t know about you, but I’m done with fast foods and restaurants.

Sister: Hey, do you want to eat wings from KFC?

Me: Heck yeah!

So, where was I? Yeah, no more fast foods and restaurants.

Sunday | June 16th | 2019

I slept late last night so I woke up late as well at around 10:30 am or something. I actually woke up because I was hungry. I don’t know how my brain worked even though I was super sleepy and I wanted to sleep some more.

Sometimes It really amazes me to just think about how our fabulous and miraculous the human body is.

So, I woke up, brushed my teeth and made myself some breakfast which was my Gluten-Free bread with a fried egg.

Yes, you read that right. Gluten-Free bread. I bought it from an online store and although my mom and dad don’t like it, in my personal opinion, I think it’s super delicious! Even more so when you spread butter on it.

(Gosh…I’m hungry now…Do I go and eat a slice of my Gluten-Free bread now?)

Anyway, I started watching the K-drama, Miracle that we met, and I’m already on episode 4 now. It’s a really interesting drama and I’m totally loving it! But I’m eagerly waiting for Kai to talk dammit! He has only appeared a few times but hasn’t said a single word! Ugh…it’s driving me crazy!

Honestly, I’m watching the drama just for him so…yeah.

I had myself some me time since my dad and sister were still sleeping. They too hadn’t slept well last night as the movie which we watched, Alpha finished at around 1:30 am at night.

Alpha too was a great movie. It was inspiring and it gave me an insight into humanity. It’s such a great story.

After watching and eating my breakfast, I went back to my room and slept because my eyelids were super heavy. I usually don’t sleep but I did and I am glad that I did because in the evening, I had to make dinner for my family and if I hadn’t slept in that half hour, my dinner would’ve been a disaster!

In fact, it was already terrible but I tried my best to save it.

I made Chicken Tikka Masala with white rice today and sadly…it didn’t go well. The curry became a bit too tomato-ish, leaving behind a rather sweet and tangy taste behind.

I should’ve taken care of the measurements but…guess sometimes, somethings just don’t work out. But the chicken was cooked well and although my sister and dad complained that it was sweet, they still ate it while licking their fingers…

I don’t understand why they ate it but they still ate it and I’m glad that there’s only a little bit leftover because no matter the outcome, I prepared the meal wholeheartedly.

My sister said she would eat the leftovers though. *sniffs* poor thing…

I was doing so well these past few days but I guess today just wasn’t my day. I became really disappointed in myself and I regretted giving such a not-so-tasty-but edible dish to my family.

However, I won’t give up! I will do my best to serve my family well from now on! I must work hard to make them proud and achieve a Michelin Star! (just kidding, I’m no star…just someone who suddenly got the passion for cooking.)In the end, all was well. We ate and we went to our rooms to do our work. I also started watching

“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” but I haven’t completed the first episode yet so It’s hard to tell whether I will like it or not. The ending of the episode must always be left at a cliffhanger so that the viewers will be eager to click the next episode! 
I guess this summarizes my day for today. I am sleepy but In a few hours time I must wake up again so I’m thinking of not sleeping. 

Sleep is for the weak anyway, right? I wonder who said that…Probably some insomniac (not insulting those who are suffering from insomnia. Just saying)
So, with that, I shall end my post now. I have so many things to tell you guys but hey, we have all day, every day, don’t we? You’ll come back here again, right? To read my articles even if they’re boring? 

If you do, then man, I love you and your family as well because they grew you up so well!

A Poem for My Grandpa

Just seeing my Grandfather living his last breaths breaks my heart…I wish I could be near him at this very moment; holding his hand, talking to him, telling him that everything is going to be alright. I miss his voice and the way he used to praise me from time to time, saying how patient I was helping him and feeding him. Gosh, I just miss him so much right now. I can’t stop my tears whenever I think about him. I video called him yesterday and he couldn’t even talk properly.

I know he doesn’t have long to live but I wish I could just be beside him. You know, I still feel that I haven’t taken care of him much. I suddenly feel so guilty and I’m overwhelmed with regrets. There were times when I got slightly annoyed or didn’t listen to him much and now those things are kind of getting to me. You know what they say, “You only know you love them when they’ve gone away.”

But I want him to die peacefully. I don’t want him suffering with pain. If he just passes away in his sleep, I think that would make me happy. Here is a little poem which I wrote for him, but I don’t think I can read it to him. Maybe my grandmother would, but…anyway, here I go.

“You held me in your arms,
fed me, played with me and
helped me sleep at night.

You made up stories,
just to make me smile,
You took me to places,
I could never find.

I can’t thank you enough,
for the things you’ve done for me.
You’ve given me so much joy all these years,
