Your week has been busy. You cracked your neck and knuckles and you worked your butt off; be it as a 9-5 worker or a freelancer. You worked and your worked and now, your body is sour as if you have worked out for hours and your mind is fried; which as a result led you to apply the jam first instead of peanut butter (I don’t know how many of you encountered that situation but if you did, then girl, you seriously need to wind down)
What you need is a bit of a break and that can only happen once a week. So why not make that one day count? Why not make it special and all about YOU so that you can get your brain working again for the next week? Yes, you have work, I understand. We all do but trust me, doing these things which I’m going to list down will improve your productivity, make you less lazy, make you more focused, and maybe even make you a better cook! Just kidding, us writers are one of the best chefs you can find out there and all we read are recipe books, watched anime, or binge-watched on Zumbo’s just desserts!
Anyway, back to the point. Our brain needs to rest too and we should take care of it just as we take care of our pets. Our brain is our pet and I might sound crazy to you but believe me, you’ll be thanking me at the end of the post because this article will change your Sundays into fun and stress-free days!
Go To Sleep Early:
This way, you can feel more energetic throughout the day and get more work done.
Cut Out Caffeine:
Believe it or not, caffeinated drinks are our biggest enemy. Sure, it keeps our brain active but it also messes with our sleep pattern, preventing us from getting the 6-7 hours sleep which we desperately need for our minds to clog smoothly.
Set Up An Alarm:
Even if you’re not an alarm person, it’s better to set up a time and wake up at the first one or two rings instead of hitting snooze. It will also be a good habit for you in the future.
Enjoy A Meal:
With you being busy during the entire week, you’ll feel good to make a meal and enjoy it with your family. You can try making new dishes or help your family in the kitchen or maybe even go out to a restaurant and just forget about your work for a while.
Working out is proven to make you feel less stressed so take out at least 15-20 minutes of your time to get your stiff body stretching and sweating!
You can take a warm bath, go for a spa, or get your nails done. You can even just put on some music and dance your stress off in your bedroom (if you’re too shy) or enjoy a movie time alone, with your significant other or with your family! Sundays are supposed to be all about you so even if you think you have work, just remember that this day won’t come again.
You can even light up scented candles and read a book for a while with a cup of your favorite tea or coffee. You will feel really good and since you’re distracting your mind from working and being all lazy, you can get more work done starting next week.
Set Up Your Weekly Plan:
Take some time out to write down whatever you need to do during the entire week so that you won’t get stressed when a new week starts. This way you can also get more things done and check out all the stuff that you thought you didn’t have time for! Make sure to note down your errands, social events, appointments, and activities.
Doing the abovementioned things can help you start your week with a boost and positivity. You can be ready to jump at work without any worries and you will also be able to more productive and prevent yourself from procrastination.
