Mini Review of Supernatural S13 Ep16 ‘Scoobynatural’
“Be like Elsa…Just let it go.” -Dean Winchester
*Beware of Spoilers*
I loved watching Scooby Doo and seeing this episode of Supernatural has made me recall so many good memories of sitting with my sister, with a packet of chips and just binge watching Scooby Doo on Cartoon Network.
Supernatural’s rating have incredible increased after the release of this episode and I can see why that is; Scoobynatural was just too entertaining, and perhaps most people reminisced their childhood memories too.
Everyone loves Scooby Doo, everyone loves Supernatural, and seeing these two amazing shows collaborate is not what anyone expected.
In Scoobynatural, Sam and Dean, along with Castiel (which I didn’t anticipate but was utterly excited when he entered the show too!) Are somehow sucked in the animated world of Scooby Doo. Theoretically, to get out of something, they have to fulfil the task, and so the three of them join the Scooby Gang to solve a mystery involving a vengeful ghost.
I watched it with my family last night and we absolutely enjoyed it as we all are Scooby Doo fans (not that heck of a fan, but we sure did watch it whenever it came on T.V)
It had the same eerie and mysterious feeling that every Scooby Doo episode had, but of course, since its Supernatural we’re talking about, it turned out to be more bizarre and enigmatic.
Dean’s silly love for Daphne was hilarious, and everyone could guess that Velma is the only one fitting for Sam, judging from their self same personality and thoughts.
I also liked the minor twists and approach of the episode. Turns out, that the ghost that’s usually a real estate agent trying to deceive the buyer, this one was a real phantom that was being controlled by a real man from the real world.
Dean, Sam and Castiel are able to convince the Scooby gang that sometimes there are real ghosts, demons, vampires and werewolves and just not men wearing masks, but in the end, because Scooby gang are mystery solvers and not hunters, Sam and Dean decide to change their thoughts and notions back to how they were; its always the genius real estate agents with horrible masks and perfect accessories.
And, not to mention, I most certainly loved Dean’s ‘Scooby dooby doo~’ ending while looking right at the camera! (cracked me up real hard, man) If it was us in that episode, perhaps we would be as silly as Dean, don’t you think?
See you in my next post~
